A God of love who is alive and present in our world.
A God who created all that is, and still creates today.
A God who was revealed supremely in Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, our Lord and Savior, but also through the Biblical story, and through the Holy Spirit in the life of the church.
A God who calls us into a special community: the church wherein God judges, forgives, and renews us; awakens us to the plight of our neighbor near and far; and sends us into the world to care, to witness, to serve, and to act.
A God who will not let us go, no matter what, but surrounds us with grace, that is transcendent love which is unearned, unqualified, and unending.
A God whose final victory in this world has already been assured and whose kingdom (reign) of peace and justice, will surely come as God acts with and through us by the power of the Holy Spirit.
